About the Club

London-2014-29Burton Business Club, founded in 1987,  is a not-for-profit organisation run on a voluntary basis  by a committee of successful local businessmen and women. They are dedicated to seeing the club, and its member businesses, grow and thrive.

Meetings are held in Burton upon Trent on the second Tuesday evening of each month – meaning there’s no disruption to the working day.

Although there is no pressure to refer business, numerous mutually beneficial business relationships have been forged down the decades. Many companies have created strategic alliances and partnerships with fellow members that have enabled them to win business, or provide additional value to their customers, that they could not have achieved on their own.

Businesses who invest time in building successful relationships, based on mutual trust and respect, will testify that Grow-Furniture-22the rewards can be huge in terms of winning new customers. But there are quick wins too, because at every business club meeting there is the chance to learn something new from our guest speakers who give their time to share their experiences and advice. You will always get new perspectives on business or be inspired by the stories of other members and guests. Down the years the Burton Business Club has also contributed extensively to life in its local community. Members of the club promote and publicise many charities and good causes, but the club works particularly closely with both Burton’s YMCA and with Derek’s Tree – an annual Christmas appeal to provide presents for disadvantaged children, which was created by former business club Chair Derek Liddle.
