Optimized-easter-burton-2016

East Staffordshire Borough Council is rolling out its popular programme of half term activities again this Easter. Venues across the borough will be keeping children and their families busy from Wednesday 23rd March to Friday 8th April by hosting sporting, craft, theatre and swimming activities every day.

DASH (Discover Activities in the School Holidays) was launched in 2013 and continues to be a popular programme of events for children and their families during the school holidays.

The programme will see a range of events delivered at Shobnall Leisure Complex, Meadowside and Uttoxeter Leisure Centres, the Brewhouse Arts Centre, Burton Market Hall as well as various other venues throughout East Staffordshire.

Activities will include multi-sports activity days, Sport in the Hood initiatives, Dance and Gymnastics tasters, special swimming sessions, cycling, and entertainment.

This year the DASH programme will also include the brand new Burton Children’s Easter Festival, presented by the Brewhouse in association with Coopers Square, Burton Place and the Octagon shopping centres, as well as Touch FM and many of East Staffordshire’s local cultural venues.

A brochure detailing all the events and activities taking place during half term is available from www.eaststaffsbc.gov.uk/holiday-activities
